Standardized and extracted herbs are often preferable to dried powdered herbs or tinctures because the quality is assured. It is also common for an extract to be condensed at a 5:1 ratio up to 50:1 for herbs like Ginkgo. I use only the highest quality herbal preparations available to doctors.
